It would be nice to have a version that would run on a Raspberry PI. That would enable to run Live Prompter from a PI mounted on a pedal board or attached to the back of a display monitor with a very small footprint.

Yup - would be nice! But not something I'll attempt in the forseeable future - sorry!
Cheers,

I was thinking about this a while back. You can run android on a pi? Then why not try that?

Yes very interested. I've had some potental buyers ask me to build them a prompter and running it off a Pi would be much cheaper than the Ockel Sirius B Black Cherry with windows 10. Although I don't think the Pi has bluetooth capability to run my airturn pedal.... or does it? Time will tell!

Ok so Android will run on Raspberry PI 3. I have to find a way to install Liveprompter on the unit. It won't install it from Google Play. Searches tell me in order to install apps to Raspberry PI that you have to "sideload it". I'll have to figure that out. I've built my own prompter unit and it works well. But I want to get this working for it rather than carrying around the laptop for the software. The other issue I'm having with Android is getting it to display in portrait mode since that's how my monitor is positioned. michigander the PI does have blue tooth. I'm pretty certain this will work. If so I'll have built a prompter for about $300.00 that I've seen advertised for $1200.00

To sideload, you'll need to load an apk file to your raspi. I've uploaded the current version of LivePrompter as an apk - download it here: www.liveprompter.com/downloads/apk/liveprompter1_2_2.apkNot sure if this build is compatible with the Raspi - there's no real documentation for dealing with Raspis... Also not sure if the Raspi 3 has sufficient horsepower to allow smoth scrolling - I would try a Raspi 4 (once they become available again). Good luck! Torsten
