(sorry for my basic english, I'm french... LivePrompter in windows environment works very fine. Many thanks Torsten!)

I've tried to install LivePrompter on my android phone and then on my android tablet.

Pb1 for android version : When I search for "LivePrompter" in the Google Play Store it is not listed and never found

--> I use the link "https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.liveprompter.liveprompter&gl=US" in FireFox and it's OK.

Pb2 on my phone:
Galaxy Note 4 - SM-N910F
phone screen
android v 6.0.1
LivePrompter 1.0.0 b9
Pb: LivePrompter stops after I authorize LivePrompter for access to my Dropbox.
to reproduce:
- launch LivePrompter, Welcome page/OK,
- drawer menu/Settings/
- Manage sources/new source name : LPsongs; dropbox directory: LivePrompter (previously created in the root of my dropbox)
- active Source Path : LPsongs

- Log in to Dropbox: Connect to Dropbox account; "Live prompter aimerait: Afficher..." (permissions) /Autoriser(Authorize)

-->"Live Prompter s'est arrêté"="Live Prompter has stopped"

In fact, Live Prompter don't really crash because its android windows is in background and shows the Welcome page but no way to go further.

In a previous answer on this forum, you(Torsten) said android 4 was too old. Is it the same for android 6? I would understand that.

So I desinstalled Live Prompter and DropBox from my phone.

Pb3 on my tablet:
Galaxy Tab S7 FE - SM-T733
tablet screen
android 12 oneUI 4.1.1
Dropbox works fine on my tablet and I can see my LivePrompter folder without difficulty.
LivePrompter not installed because when I'm in the Google Play page the only option to install is "Installer sur d'autres appareils"="Install on other devices"
and the only device listed is my phone even if I previously desinstalled Live Prompter from it --> very frustating...

Someone could help me to understand what is wrong?

Re problem 1:
so far all my searches for "LivePrompter" on play.google.com reliably result in LivePrompter popping up as first search result, so not sure what's up with you not finding it. I've tried with different browsers, logged out of my account to make sure it's not my personal settings, and it came up reliably.

There are only two countries where LivePrompter isn't available (Russia and Belarus), and France shouldn't be an issue - I VPN'd to Paris and searched, and Play did find LivePrompter first.

The only thing I can think of would be the minimum android version - I think the lowest Android version I've seen LivePrompter install on successfully is Android 8. Maybe that's what makes LivePrompter not appear on your phone?

Re problem 2:

That's definitely possible - the API needed to push the OAUTH token flow from the Dropbox login to LivePrompter definitely doesn't work on old versions of Android. Since I don't have a lot of old devices sitting around, I can't test every OS version - sorry! So you may well be correct in that Android 6 could not be working with the Dropbox OAUTH flow.

Re problem 3:
TBH: I have no clue why your device isn't listed. But you could try using the play store link directly on your tablet - simply go to this URL on your tablet:

play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.liveprompter.liveprompter

This should open the Play Store app on your tablet with the LivePrompter page open. Hope this will allow you to install LivePrompter then. I just tried this on a Galaxy Tab A7 Lite, and it displayed the Play Store page nicely...

Pb1:

With the tablet (Galaxy Tab S7 FE - SM-T733 - Android 12) I've tried to find "liveprompter" in the Google Play Store with no success : not listed at all.

It's not a big problem because the search in a web browser correctly leads to the download and installation link for android.

Pb2:

The phone is too old. Never mind.

Pb3:

I finally succeeded!

When I say "my" tablet, it's not really mine but rather my wife's tablet which has been configured with my wife's google account.

The mistake I made was to try to install Live Prompter with my own google account. After I tried with the correct account it has been succesfull!!

I launched Live Prompter, linked to my Dropbox, synchronized, configured the text size and pictures size and saw at least one song in scrolling. Marvelous!

Pb1:

Now that Live Prompter is installed, if I look for it in the Google Play Store, it comes actually in first position.

I'm still scratching my head why LivePrompter wasn't shown in your PlayStore searches - but I've given up on trying to understand Google's search algorithm...
