i am currently using a surface tablet to display lyrics for me and have most of the singular sound Eco system. I would like to set the song on the beatbudddy from LP. i am thinking i will need to come out the surface into a usb midi into the midi in on the aeros.
page 5 shows the rig....
midi commands for beat buddy
if that is correct
found this on a forum as a reference of how to do it in chord pro
Below is a description of what works for me.
Song Select for: Folder 2, song 5 {midi: CC0.0 CC32.1 PC4}
Song Select and Tempo Select: tempo of 85 bpm {midi: CC0.0 CC32.1 PC4 CC106.0 CC107.85}
somebody added but I believe you have to add the channel number to each midi command (I have my BB set to channel 10), so here’s the commands I use {midi: CC0.0@10 CC32.0@10 PC0@10 CC106.0@10 CC107.90@10 CC108.87@10}
started reading the midi manual decided to post where im at so i dont bark up the wrong tree.

I'm a bit confused by all the info on Aeros / BeatBuddy (don't really have the mental bandwidth to read through your linked manuals), but I assume you are trying to send MIDI commands from LivePrompter to some device when changing songs in LivePrompter - correct? You need to know that LivePrompter can only send program change commands when changing songs, nothing else. LivePrompter doesn't use information in the song files, but its own files in the MIDI folder inside the song folder - see here. So the {midi:...} commands you describe will NOT work with LivePrompter. Also, there is no need to send the CC0/CC32 combination - that's MIDI bank select, and LivePrompter allows you to specify "banked" program changes. So instead of sending CC0.0, cc32.1, PC4, you simply specify 1.5 as the program change in MidiSend.txt (LivePrompter uses 1-based program changes, so values are 1..128). Regarding MIDI channel: you specify that in LivePrompter.ini (MidiOutChannel=...) Hope this helps! Cheers, Torsten

BTW: sending tempo information is not possible with LivePrompter. You'll need to set the song tempo in specifically in Beatbuddy if that's possible.
Cheers,
Torsten
