I am afraid I got in over my head trying to install this. Is there anyone I could pay to perhaps do a remote log in and walk me through it.

Hey Billy,
welcome to the forum!
Unfortunately, LivePrompter being more or less a hobby project, I can't really do this type of support, but here are some pointers, also to the questions you asked in your direct request via the contact form:
LivePrompter installs by default to this directory: "C:\Torsten's Music Tools\LivePrompter"
If you want to clean up and start again, simply delete that directory and re-start the installer. Also, the LivePrompter installer remembers where previous installations were made, so if you simply re-start the installer, it will show you where you installed it previously, in case you forgot.
Once you have installed LivePrompter, the installer should automatically open the installation directory. Within that directory, there is a sub-directory "documentation" which contains the manual (plus a manual for using LivePrompter with Cantabile, which you can ignore for now).
Be sure to read the manual thoroughly.
The most important bit after installing is to open the file "LivePrompter.ini" with any text editor and - in the 4th line - set the path to the directory where you have your song files (you have some song files, don't you?). Put the path to your song directory there, e.g.:
HomeDirectory=C:\Users\BillyRay\Documents\LivePrompterFiles
Then save LivePrompter.ini
Your song files need to be text files (ending in .txt) and follow the chordPro format (described in the manual). If you plan to use international characters, be sure your files' text encoding is UTF-8 (good editors that will help you with that are Notepad++ or EditPad Lite)
Hope this helps!
Cheers,
Torsten
