I think it's pretty useful compile an Ubuntu version. That OS is less heavy than windows in older PCs. Or even it's possible to run it on a Raspberry Pi.

Definitely not happening - my whole development environment is based on Windows; definitely not an issue of just compiling for a different platform. Also, I don't have any experience developing on / for Linux, and I'm not planning to take this project open source, so a Linux version is not anywhere in the cards.
Re running on lower-spec systems: to have smooth scrolling for a teleprompter, you'll want to achieve a certain picture refresh rate. Not something that comes naturally for lower-specced systems.
So sorry, but don't get your hopes up at this front.
