Got up and running on my Android tablet Ok and can sync to dropbox but when running on my windows 11 PC so I can access dropbox on both I get no option to login to dropbox or check connection in settings.
I can sync to my local dropbox folder OK and files are being uploaded to my dropbox/liveprompter folder OK.
I've tried deleting Liveprompter and re-installing but still no good
I'm missing something simple I'm sure but what?
Any suggestions gratefully received.

The desktop version doesn't need any built-in Dropbox syncing functionality - that's why it doesn't have any. On desktop systems (Mac, PC), LivePrompter can access the file system directly - you simply need to tell it where your files live. If you use Dropbox to sync your files between your PC and your Android tablet, you simply need to tell LivePrompter where your Dropbox files live on your PC. Typically, this is "C:\Users\<your user name>\Dropbox" or something similar. If you don't have Dropbox installed on your PC, you'll need to download the Dropbox app and install and configure it - but since you're already syncing files to Android, I assume you have that covered already. So the Dropbox is taking care of all the syncing on your PC; no need for LivePrompter to get involved in that. Again: No need to log in to Dropbox on a desktop system - all you need to do is show LivePrompter where your song files sit on your PC. You'll still need to "sync" to make LivePrompter scan the local files and update its database, but there's no copying of files from Dropbox involved - you're working directly with the files on your PC. That's what makes editing sessions on the PC easier: you can immediately see the effect of any changes you make to the files simply by re-loading the file in your local LivePrompter on the PC (hit the "reset" button in song view or exit the song and open it again). See the manual for setting up LivePrompter on desktop systems - it is slightly different from the mobile version: www.liveprompter.com/help/help-mobile/introduction/desktop-version-installation-and-initial-configuration/Cheers, Torsten

Thanks Torsten, got my head round it now. Simple now you've explained it!
Thanks again, coffee on the way.
