Hi. I have just got the app .. great stuff !! I’ve used a modification of the church psalm book notation for quite a while to remind me. In the plasm book .. the vertical bar immediately Before a word meant it fell on-the-beat and at the Same time to change to the next chord. So .. a beat marker in song context. In addition, I use the slash mark as it would be in block chord Notation .. to mark a beat .. but text following this is offset, ie Off the beat. Ok .. here is a few lines of You’re still the one (s.Twain) to illustrate.
Bb Bb/D / Looks |Like we ma-/ de it /
Eb. F. F7 |Look how far / we’ve come / my ba-/ by
For me it would be great if the slashes and bars in this context Could be in the same bold amber as the headings (Verse:) .. so they stood out more. Thoughts ? Are others using any other methods for this ?
Cheers Stephen

Hi Steve, OK, this psalm book notation is new to me - not really sure what these slashes are supposed to do - in your example, they don't really make sense to me, but to each their own... In all probability, I'm not going to implement a specific feature to highlight these symbols (unless I have hundreds of psalmbook fans saying they desperately need it...) - feels like a too niche use case. But you could use LivePrompter's "highlight" feature to format these symbols differently. Also, you should use the Chordpro chords notation with square brackets to make sure your chords align correctly - that's one of the key benefits of this format. So, your example could look like this in LivePrompter: [Bb]>/< Looks >|<like we [Bb/D]ma->/< de it >/< [Eb]>|<Look how far >/< we've [F]come >/< my [F7]ba->/> by
And the output would be like this: Enclosing the symbols between > and < makes them "highlighted" - you can define the color for highlights in Settings. I made them nice and golden for this example, but you can choose pretty much any color you like... Cheers, Torsten
