Torsten,
In the "classic" version, settings were in an ini file. Where are you saving those settings in V2.
Thanks! Rick

Hi Rick,
it depends what OS version we are talking about - for Android / iOS, the settings files are in a protected app-specific directory, not accessible to the user. On Windows, the settings files are in your standard Documents folder --> subfolder "LivePrompterData".
Inside, there is a "Profiles" folder that contains the settings data for your profiles (if you have one, then there's simply "Default.json" in there, but there can be multiple profiles for different users, projects, bands, ...)
All of these are condensed JSON files, not made to be edited directly - that's what we have the Settings screens for. But if you want to transport your configuration to another PC, you could simply copy these profile files to the other PC.
There is an alternative way if you want to fiddle with these files: in the "Manage Profiles" screen, click-and-hold a profile, then its content will be copied to the clipboard - paste this to a text editor of choice, and you'll have a more "prettified" version of the settings. Makes it easier to understand and potentially edit (if you're adventurous).
You can import settings into LivePrompter by copying the content of such a file to the clipboard - now when you create a new profile inside the Manage Profiles screen, LivePrompter will ask you if you want to use the content from the clipboard.
Cheers,
Torsten

Torsten,
Thanks for the update. I gotta remember to specify the platform when asking a question. I was talking Windows.
Have a good one!
Rick
