I put a
{d_time:35}
before my first line but it had scrolled off before that time. I think I got it work but having one after the first line.
Does it not work before the first line?

A bit of background: d_time instructions are there to calculate scrolling speeds between points in a song. So LivePrompter looks at the "number of pixels" (roughly...) between two consecutive d_time statements and then calculates a scroll speed in "pixels per second" that will make it cover that distance in the right time.
LivePrompter automatically sets an internal {d_time: 0} before the first line. Now if you set a {d_time:35} before your first line, you essentially have two consecutive d_time statements - with no distance to cover inbetween. LivePrompter would essentially calculate a scrolling speed of 0 - and never advance anywhere.
That's why a d_time instruction without any distance to scroll will be ignored - LivePrompter can't deal with a scroll speed of zero...
So the best solution is to just have one line of content before your first d_time instruction - as you discovered.
Cheers,
Torsten
