When I have changed the key for a particular singer using the song settings transpose option it would be nice to have an option button to save the song back to Dropbox. Using a new default song filename of OriginalFilenam in NewKey.txt. e.g. Chains could become Chains in Eb.txt

Not going to happen - sorry! LivePrompter is read-only - that's the fundamental architecture. Editing and creating happens elsewhere.
The interactive transpose / capo feature is purely temporary on purpose - it's there to quickly try out a song in different keys or with a capo during rehearsal; once you've found the right key or capo position, you'd edit that into your song (or create your modified copy) in your editing/creating environment.
That's just the way I've designed LivePrompter - especially with multiple musicians sharing the same song base via Dropbox, any writing mechanism would be inviting chaos (multiple musicians making edits to the same songs...). That's why I decided on this logic - edit once, read on many devices. This also makes syncing much easier - no conflict management needed.
Unfortunately, you'll have to create your transposed copy manually.
Cheers,
Torsten

Thanks Torsten I thought that may be the answer. How about a button to copy the correct new key format to the clipboard? Ian

TBH, not really... It's not so complicated to type "{transpose:3}" - and most users do their editing on a deparate device anyhow (e.g. display on a tablet, edit on a PC).
Not really worth cluttering up the interface for that, IMHO

I agree that {transpose:} is very useful but some of my songs have guitar tabs in them that cannot be converted by transpose and in a few songs my comments mention a specific chord (and that is not converted). BTW I am awaiting the multiple color option using >< and >2<2 etc I am a programmer and if you are too busy perhaps I could help

... but some of my songs have guitar tabs in them that cannot be converted by transpose and in a few songs my comments mention a specific chord (and that is not converted). In that case the "save transposed" function you asked for won't help either - LivePrompter's transpose function won't touch tabs or chords in comments. Sometimes it'll just take some manual work... Not really... (a) I'm not ready to add the increased complexity of managing multiple contributors with reviewing pull requests etc, and (b) I doubt if you could decipher enough of LivePrompter's code complexities to attempt to dive into its rendering engine and make changes that won't break anything. LP2 is a pretty complex beast by now, even for experienced Flutter/Dart developers...
