Hi, Loving Liveprompter2 I've been trying to autostart the song when a new song(cc number) is sent from my gigperformer. I've coded it into the midireceive.txt then in gigperformer when the song changes I send CC102 to liveprompter to start the song, this works great, however if i then select another song, and send the CC102 to play this puts the old song on pause? is there a way to autostart the playback of a song on the midi cc receive, or alternatively could it be possible to have a flag somewhere in the midireceive.txt. eg 1,My song,0 2,your song,1
where param 3 set to 0 would just loads the song and param 3 set to 1 would autostart playing
Ideally I would just like to send a CC which loads and starts playing the song.
or is there already a way to do this ?
Regards Damian

Just to clarify: - Loading songs works via program changes (PC, not CC commands!), using midireceive.txt
- starting playback is done via the MIDI Input control settings using MIDI CC (in your case, I assume you're using CC102 for Play/Pause)
So the sequence should be: - Send the program change to load the new song
- wait a moment until the song is loaded
- send the CC102 command to start scrolling
If in your case the CC102 is pausing scrolling on the previous song, I guess the MIDI commands are coming too close together, so LivePrompter is still busy loading the new song when the CC102 arrives. Unfortunately, with multi-threaded processing, I can't "save" the CC102 until the song is fully loaded - maybe there is a way you can teach GigPerformer to wait a bit before sending the CC102?
I don't believe I'm going build any "auto-start after loading" features into LivePrompter in the near future. Can you tell me why you want to immediately start scrolling when loading a song?
Cheers,
Torsten
