LivePrompter 2 problem. When songs displayed in LivePrompter the chords do not align over the correct lyrics. I have checked the song in Drop Box and it is correct, but when opened in LP there is a change in the chord alignment. Any answers?

can you share the song file? Simply copy it in a reply here... what I suspect: are you using a song file that doesn't have the chords embedded in square brackets but in separate lines and relying on "fixed width" fonts for alignment? These aren't what LivePrompter expects - LivePrompter's chord alignment is based on the Chordpro format with chords embedded in the text within square brackets. Please read the relevant manual section on this. You can use a crude work-around by using the tag {start_of_tab} at the beginning of such song files and {end_of_tab} at the end; this will force LivePrompter to use a fixed-width font. But then you'll be missing out on a number of LivePrompter features like chord formatting, chord transposition, capo settings, etc. Also, lyrics are far less comfortable to read in fixed width.

Thanks Torsten, you are correct with fixed width fonts. I will have a look for another copy of the song, Bow River, by Cold Chisel and see what I can do!

I will have a look for another copy of the song, Bow River, by Cold Chisel and see what I can do! Sometimes it's just quicker to make the edits yourself - it's not such a big effort... And you get to add all the nice stuff like section headers, highlights, and of course fine-grained scrolling with d_time or bar tags.

Bow River, by Cold Chisel I just had a quick look at chordie.com - they have a Chordpro format version of that song: www.chordie.com/chord.pere/www.guitaretab.com/c/cold-chisel/3778.htmlYou'll need to click the "View" button top right and then select "Chordpro" as the view format. Now you'll see a Chordpro version of the song that you can use in LivePrompter. What I would do for this song is to replace the "Chord" formatted section titles with LivePrompter's version, so instead of [Chorus] I would use: Chorus: Then, you'd need to add the tags to enable scrolling (either a duration tag for the whole song or d_time / bar tags for individual section for more precise scrolling). Plus, there's some other editing I would do to the song like replacing the strange "[D(bass]see thi[F#)]s" with [D/F#]see this", and possibly reviewing the actual chords - often the songs I find at Chordie or elsewhere are brutally simplified or mangled chords. That's why it is easier for me to simply grab the lyrics somewhere and add the chords myself, so I am sure it is how I would play the song. Overall, I find song files from the internet typically not usable directly for my live or rehearsal purposes - building my own from lyrics makes them more precise, and also helps me familiarize myself with the song. So after building my song file, I already have a pretty good overall understanding of the song and how it works.
