A new feature that allows custom MIDI messages to be sent to effects pedals. Ability to add effects buttons that can send MIDI messages to effects pedals to automatically program them for individual songs. Would like to click a button and my effects pedals get programmed.

Honestly, I don't want to clutter up the interface with a specific "send MIDI" button - or even multiple ones. LivePrompter is supposed to be a very simple user interface with a minimum of clutter. Currently, LivePrompter allows you to define one program change message per song that will be sent on loading a song. If you set up all your effect pedals so their programs are aligned with your songs, you can use this today - see the MIDI chapter of the manual: www.liveprompter.com/help/help-mobile/advanced-help-v2/midi-control/I am considering a feature that allows you to specify a custom MIDI message (of reasonable length, so it can contain multiple program changes) per song that will get sent automatically on loading the song. But this will also just be sent out through the one MIDI out port that LivePrompter provides, so complex setups with multiple MIDI ports will not be addressable with this feature. Again, LivePrompter is not supposed to be a "general control center" for all kinds of complex rigs, but rather a stripped-down but powerful tool to do one thing only: be a minimal-interaction teleprompter for musicians, that has a certain capability to communicate with other applications via MIDI. As a "control center" type application, I thoroughly recommend Cantabile, which not only is a wonderful VST plugin host, but also allows you to construct super-complex MIDI routing and automation setups per song. Then have LivePrompter send a simple program change to Cantabile to select a song, and Cantabile will take care of the setup complexities of configuring software and hardware for that specific song - and even change complete configurations within the song on the touch of a button. Cheers, Torsten

New version 1.4.6 now has the ability to send longer custom MIDI data streams when loading a song. All happening automatically on load - no button to press.
